Some changes coming to the E-Romance News blog for 2018. As more blog tour entities (for lack of a better word) turn more into PR tour entities (meaning they narrow their focus on select authors willing to pay a monthly fee) I will be having less spotlights here on E-Romance News.
I was tired of seeing the same type of book and the same authors being offered over and over. I could expand my reach, sign up with more tour companies, but I am not a full-time blogger. I do this merely to give romance and romance authors a boost.
I've decided instead I will do the occasional blog post on romance and other musings, for example, a general recommendation for romance books I've read. Not a full review or endorsement or rating, just a general thumb up.
I will be cutting back a bit on Triberr. The concept intrigues, finding like-minded people and share their blog posts in groups called "tribes". I usually don't share posts until after midnight CT, to lessen the spam feel a lot of people says these posts are. Yeah, they kinda are, but again, it is sharing and supporting fellow romance authors.
But even in the romance tribes I am in, there are less and less romance book/author posts. And that is all I am interested in sharing. So I will be a lot more choosy in what posts I select.
What this all boils down to is I need to juggle my time better, and I would rather be writing. Writing must come first. But since I don't want to give up this blog completely, some adjustments are needed.
Also, as far as my E-Romance News Twitter account, I will RT anything romance publishing (books, authors, etc) when I can. It will be sporadic, and not as frequent as last year. Follow on Twitter HERE
During my holiday break I've done a lot of thinking and it became clear it is time to adjust my priorities.
So here's to romance! The readers, authors, publishers, editors, agents, and anyone else toiling behind the scenes.
