Sometimes once is not enough..

After twenty-five years of marriage, Faith Wainwright wonders what she'll do next. Her kids have moved out and sometimes she feels so distant from her husband, Troy.

Right before their anniversary, Troy gives Faith an unexpected gift: a journey through their hometown to reenact all their "firsts." Their first date. Their first kiss. And especially the first time they made love—only better.

Each stop on their tour becomes an opportunity for Faith and Troy to rediscover how explosive their passion can be. Now Faith knows exactly what she's going to do—Troy over and over again..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am not a huge fan of short stories, sometimes they lack emotional depth. That is not the case here.
How wonderful to read of a couple in their mid-forties, married 25 years. And as we know, sometimes, occasionally, rigor can set in when married for so long. Some things become, perfunctory. Like sex.
Faith and Troy are now alone, both kids are at university, to celebrate their 25th anniversary, they go back to the home town where they met as teens and lived the first part of their early married life. Troy takes Faith on a romantic journey that put a lump in my throat. He puts together a book of old snapshots, accompanied by the most romantic, heart melting letters that will get as emotional a reaction out of you as it did Faith.
Troy shows amazing depth and tenderness, he is like a romance hero from another age, not a construction worker who drives a pick-up, but, it makes him all the more appealing.
But, it isn't all romance, Faith and Troy rekindle passion in spades. Troy in a word, is hot. They let go of years of comfortable couplings and throw their inhibitions out the window. Trot is raw and sexy in his demands, and Faith is eager to fulfill all Troy's desires.
It was a bit jarring a few times to go to these heart rending, romantic moments into 'rattle the pictures on the wall' sex, but it's a minor point.
Overall a very well done sexy/romantic read. Very real. Very hot.
3 and 3/4 stars out of 4 for the book
KOVER KUDOS: Fantastic, look like the couple described in the book, even down to the male's salt and pepper hair. Hear Hear for middle aged romance
3 and 1/2 stars out of 4 for the cover
