An unexpected reunion
Sparks familiar feelings!
Beth Flanagan became a mother when she took in her best friend’s daughter. Spending the summer at the Montana camp where she and her friend had made such wonderful memories was meant to create a much-needed bond. But Beth didn’t anticipate Zach Carter, the boy who’d stolen her heart, to be in charge. Nor did she anticipate how quickly their feelings would reignite–though Beth vows to not fall for him again!
Beth got to her feet.
“Maybe we’ll see you at the movie night later? Ellie can talk to you in a way
she can’t to me, and whenever you’re around she’s happier.”
“I can drop by.” He hadn’t
planned to, but apart from checking the horses before bed, it wasn’t as if he
had anything else on tonight. Beth was helping him, so anything he could do to
help Ellie was a fair exchange. Besides, it would be friendly. His gaze drifted
to Beth’s body-skimming dress and her slim ankles in another pair of those impractical
but ever-so-appealing shoes, before he forced himself to look back at her face.
Friends. Yeah, right. Her
smarts intrigued him, and her beauty meant he couldn’t look away. His heart was
clamoring for more, but he’d silence it. And he’d be fine. They both would.
