Scandalous Desires by Elizabeth Hoyt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
4.5 out of 5~rounded up to 5.
Irish, sexy hero who is also a pirate, what's not to like? Charming Mickey O'Connor is also gorgeous, damaged and a dangerous scoundrel. He finagles a way to get the heroine, Silence Hollingbrook, to stay with him at his ostentatious palace of sin. The sexual tension is palatable and crackles with real force. The sub-plot all ties in with Mickey's horrible, impoverished past and keeps the narrative clipping along at a brisk pace.
Ultimately, it is the touching and potent relationship that grows between Mick and Silence that will stand out most of all. Elizabeth Hoyt again, gives us real emotion and deep physical attraction in perfect balance. When I grow up, I want to write just like this.
Looking forward to the next book to come out in a manner of days, about Silence's brother, Winter.
Highly recommend Scandalous Desires, and I defy you not to fall for Mick yourself~
